Futuros Misioneros - 31 Mayo 2014

Cuando alguien dice una actividad misional, lo normal que viene a la mente es tener una noche de hogar o de cine e invitar algunas personas a venir y aprender mas.  Usualmente, el resultado es que unos pocos vienen que no son miembros.  Pero la estaca Tecalco tuvo otra visión.  Los miembros del sumo consejo planearon una actividad sobresaliente.  Las preparaciones empezaron semanas antes cuando los niños de cada barrio abrieron y aceptaron su llamamiento misional.  El día Sábado, 31 de Mayo, los Eldercitos y las hermanitas reportaron en la capilla de Tepetlixpa. Recibieron la bienvenida del presidente de misión, el Presidente Crickmore y su esposa la Hna. Crickmore.  Después, recibieron capacitación de como enseñar y como contactar.

 Fueron puestos cada niño con su respectivo compañero, y asignados a un pueblo donde encontrarían y enseñarían familias en específico y contactarían personas en la calle.  Estarían haciendo la obra misional tal y como es.  Los niños fueron transportados a sus respectivos pueblos y llegaron con ganas de trabajar!  Mas que 150 niños estaban en las calles buscando almas para el señor.  Su entusiasmo fue algo sorprendente.  Todos los lideres gozaron de ver los niños compartiendo algo tan querido para ellos.  Enseñaron del plan de Dios y de la importancia de las familias.  Dieron folletos e invitaron a las personas a escuchar a los misioneros, y a venir y ver.

Después de proselitar por dos horas, todos los niños regresaron para reportar.  Al final de cuentas, habían visitado mas que cien familias y encontrado mas que treinta personas nuevas que aceptaron recibir las platicas de los misioneros.  Para finalizar, algunos de los chicos misioneros dieron una breve reseña de su experiencia y su testimonio.  Ciertamente los niños entendieron la importancia de la obra que hicieron, y tendrá un impacto en lo largo de sus vidas. 

Siempre podemos aprender de los niños pequeños.  Y en este caso todos nosotros podemos aceptar el llamamiento de un profeta viviente con el mismo vigor en que los niños de la estaca Tecalco aceptaron y llevaron a cabo los suyos.  Que todos nosotros abramos nuestras bocas y compartamos el tesoro que tenemos.

Future Missionaries - 31 May 2014

When someone mentions missionary activity, normally what comes to mind is to have a Family Home Evening or movie and invite some people to come and learn more. Usually, the result is that very few are not members. But the Tecalco stake had another vision. The members of the high council planned an outstanding activity. Preparations began weeks ago when children each Ward opened and accepted his personal mission call. On Saturday, May 31, they reported as Eldercitos and Sistercitos in the chapel at Tepetlixpa. They were welcomed by the mission president, President Crickmore Sr. and his wife. Then they were trained how to teach and how to contact. Each child was placed with their respective

companion, and assigned to a village to find and teach a specific family and contact people on the street. They were doing missionary work as it really is. The children were transported to their respective villages and arrived eager to work! More than 150 children were on the streets looking for souls for the Lord. Their enthusiasm was somewhat amazing. All the leaders of the children enjoyed sharing something so dear to them. They taught of God's Plan and the importance of families. They gave out flyers and invited people to listen to the missionaries and come and see.

After proselyting for two hours, all the children came back to report. They had visited more than one hundred families and found more than thirty new people who agreed to receive the message of the missionaries. Finally, some of the missionaries gave a brief overview of your experience and your testimony. Certainly the children understood the importance of the work they did, and will this activity will have impact on them throughout their lives.We can always learn from young children. And in this case, we can all accept the call of a living prophet with the same vigor that the children of the Tecalco stake accepted and served in their own missionary assignment. May we all open our mouths and share the treasure we have.
