At the direction of the Area Presidency, the mission, three zones at a time, gathered in the Chalco Stake Center to watch a video of Elder Oaks remarks at the Mexico City Centro de Capacitación Misional (MTC). The video sprang from his remarks to the missionaries in the CCM during his February visit, and included the importance of teaching by the Spirit and setting intermediate goals to reach higher goals. After President Crickmore spoke on the blessing and importance of obedience, the mission watched the video of Elder Oaks remarks, and subsequently, each missionary recorded 3 intermediate goals to help him reach the Area Presidency´s goals. Photocopies of their written intermediate goals were distributed to the individual missionary and to his mission leaders. Subsequently, during weekly reports from missionaries, the leaders discuss with each missionary his or her success in attaining his or her intermediate goals and how leaders can help them to reach those goals. The "fruit" of Elder Oaks remarks have been remarkable as each missionary feels vested in the goals he or she strives to meet.

Special Missionary Message From Elder Oaks - 14 and 15 April 2014
